About

Hi, I'm Christian

I'm Christian Torres, a full stack developer based in Rizal, Philippines, working remotely with clients wherever the time zones allow.

Since September 2024 I've been building Plot at Butter Studio, an AI video editor that lives in a web app, a DaVinci Resolve plugin and an MCP server. It started on the OpenAI API and now runs on Claude, and somewhere between the two I went from "AI is magic" to "AI is a component, and components need tests."

Before that I graduated in Computer Science in 2023 and spent two years on a fintech product, which is where I learned to write careful code around payments and authentication. On the side I glue together business systems that were never meant to meet, including ones with no public API and strong opinions about it.

I usually own the whole thing, from the plan and the client updates to the deploy. When I'm not coding I'm making art, at the gym, or slowly teaching myself guitar, which is the only project where I'm fine with missing the deadline.
